Now, this Guide will show you how to use Aimersoft DVD ripper to rip DVD in an easiest way and explain how to split/ join/ subtitle/ crop/ trim/ effect the video files while conversion.

Part one: How to rip DVD in an easiest way

Download Aimersoft DVD ripper, install it and start it;

Click “Add…” button to add DVD file directly, or you can also click the drop-down menu of “Add…” to add files in these 4 ways, such as G:\/Load DVD folders/Load ISO file / Load IFO file. The loaded DVD’s information such as chapter, title, etc. will be seen in the file list.

Select output format

This software can convert DVD to all popular video formats such as MPEG-4, AVI, WMV, VOB, 3GP, FLV, etc.
Select one or more files, click the 'Profile' drop down list to select an output format.
Note: Choose the audio formats if you want to rip DVD audio track to MP3, WMA, WAV and so on. So that you can enjoy DVD audio on iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, Creative Zen, Zune and some other MP3 players.)

If you want to convert DVD by default settings, just click 'Start' button to convert. It is the easiest and common way to convert with only three steps.

Note: You can click the 'Settings' button next to the ‘profile’ to open the Settings window and set video resolution, frame rate, bit rate, encoder, etc. See the figure below

Part Two: crop/trim/set the effect of the video to improve the quality

Click “Edit” button, you will do all editing process including crop, effect, trim, watermark, in a new interface and you can preview all changes clearly;

Crop – Click the ‘Crop” button, cut off the black edge of your DVD movie to let you enjoy your movie in a full screen;

Note: Move your mouse cursor to a box on the frame around the video, and drag the frame to crop your video. Or you can choose a crop option from 'No Crop, Cut off top and bottom black edges, Cut off top black edge, Cut off bottom black edge, Cut off left and right black edges and Cut off all black edges'

Trim – As you have selected the clips to convert, here you can trim any segment of your clips to convert by Clicking the button “Trim”

Note: Drag the button to select the segment and set the start and end time as you want.
